Visit the animals, play historic games at Children’s Day on the Farm
18th century magician entertains all ages
McCONNELLS, SC – Visit the Heritage breed sheep, chickens and cows and learn how they were cared for years ago at Children’s Day on the Farm, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 27. Site closes at 5 p.m.
How did farm children entertain themselves in the 18th and 19th centuries? What kind of chores did they have?
This family event includes children’s crafts, toys and games, candle-making, live performances and a 4-H petting zoo. Pony rides, tractor-drawn wagon rides and family-friendly foods available for an additional fee.
Clad in 18th century breeches, red waistcoat and tricorn hat, Robert Olson will recreate the fabulous magician Mr. Bayly, mesmerizing children of all ages with his mystical skills.
COST Adults, $10; seniors, $8; youth ages 4-17, $5; 3 and younger free. CHM members receive a $2 discount.
