Guild of the Museum of York County open to new members
ROCK HILL, SC – Learn more about future of the Culture & Heritage Museums, the history of Landsford Canal and the rescue efforts of the Carolina Raptor Center at this fall’s monthly meetings of the Guild of the Museum of York County. The first meeting, an Open House, is 9:30-11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 14.
Enjoy social time and refreshments followed a presentation about the new museum for young children now being developed in downtown Rock Hill by the Culture & Heritage Museums, and the Naturalist Center being planned for the Museum of York County.
Guild members enjoy networking and lifelong learning opportunities and, although it is not necessary to be a volunteer to attend Guild programs, the Guild is a primary source of volunteers for the museum’s educational programs and other opportunities.

The Culture & Heritage Museums are managed by the York County Culture and Heritage Commission (CHC), chartered in 1997 by the York County, South Carolina, Council. The Culture and Heritage Foundation supports the CHC, its museums and the future museum being developed on the Catawba River at I-77.
