World Wide Day of Play Event planned at Main Street Children’s Museum
10:00 am – 4:00 pm September 21, 2013
Rock Hill, SC : The public is invited to celebrate a monumental day of play!
Nickelodeon's Worldwide Day of Play is an entire day committed to the celebration of physical fitness and play. Main Street Children's Museum is participating in this day of play to help reinforce the message of physical activity and healthy living. With admission to the museum a family will experience hourly special "play" times from 10 am - 4 pm on Saturday, September 21. These will include hula-hoop adventures, dancing challenges, parachute and creative movement sessions,
scavenger hunts, games and explorations, and gymnastic ventures
Main Street Children’s Museum offers fun, educational activities created for ages birth through 6
Make-believe in the pumpkin house, climb to the tip-top of the tree house and sail on the magic ship. Enjoy memory-making family experiences and engage your young child in creative, developmental play. Main Street Children’s Museum is inspired by the artwork of American illustrator Vernon Grant, who lived and worked in Rock Hill.
As it has since 2004, Nickelodeon will suspend programming on World Wide Day of Play across all of its TV channels–Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., Nicktoons and TeenNick– and websites from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. (ET/PT) urging kids to “get up, go outside and play.” Millions of kids and families across the U.S. and worldwide are expected to participate in thousands of events in dozens of countries.
Free with general admission. Free for museum members.
