Peasall Sisters
SAT, MAY 14, 2010; 7 p.m.
In one of their final concerts, the Peasall Sisters of White House, Tennessee, will perform at the McCelvey Center in York, SC, on Saturday, May 14.
The haunting song “Where No One Stands Alone” by the Peasall Sisters is featured on a trailer for the 2010 Coen Brothers’ movie, “True Grit.” The three singing sisters are also known as the voices of George Clooney’s daughters, the Wharvey Girls, in the 2000 Coen Brothers’ classic, “O Brother, Where Art Thou?” The unique vocal harmonies of Sarah, Hannah and Leah have earned them Grammy and Country Music Association awards. The Peasall Sisters have performed at the Grand Ole Opry, Carnegie Hall and Radio City Music Hall. The Peasall Sisters plan to offer their final performances in May 2011.
