Special Events at CHM

Celebrate the Culture & Heritage Museums’ 15 th anniversary wine tasting with special guest Stuart Roy, Director of Wine & Spirits at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, Saturday, August 23, 2008 at the Museum of York County.

Participants can enjoy the area's most exclusive wines at tasting tables throughout the Museum, as wineries present a bouquet of their finest offerings and personally pour their wines, serving both beginners to the wine world and seasoned wine connoisseurs. The evening will also include a live and silent auction as well as a raffle drawing and “wine pull.”

An exclusive Vintner Tasting beginning at 6:30 p.m. for Vintner level participants. Vintner Tasting Levels are as follows:

$375 – Magnum Level (includes 2 tickets to both Vintner Tasting and Vintage Celebration - $275 tax-deductible)

$750 – Jeroboam Level (includes 4 tickets to both Vintner Tasting and Vintage Celebration - $550 tax-deductible)

$1500 – Rehoboam Level (includes 6 tickets to both Vintner Tasting and Vintage Celebration - $1200 tax-deductible)

$2000 – Imperial Level (includes 8 tickets to both Vintner Tasting and Vintage Celebration - $1600 tax-deductible)

Vintage Celebration (VCB) tasting tables open for general admission tickets at 7:30 p.m. Pouring wine will be Ben Arnold Beverage, Carolina Craft Distributors, Grapevine Distributors and Falcor Winery, J. Lohr Vineyards and Wine, Paula Gillman & Co., Southern Wine & Spirits. Offering beer will be B&B Distributors, Comer Distributing Co. and Thomas Creek Brewery.

For CHM members:
$50 for one ticket or $90 for two tickets
For non-members:
$60 per ticket

Don’t forget to register for your bid number to be used in the live and silent auction. The live auction begins at 9:00 p.m. This year’s VCB committee has put together auction packages of exceptional and hard to find wines. Bottles of wine can also be purchased at an attractive price throughout the evening while shopping at the silent auction.
