Event Description:

Enjoy getting your child (ren) outside by bringing a picnic or taking a hike at the Museum of York County.

• Capture a family photo at Opossum Hollow or Turkey Trot along our piedmont nature trail and enjoy reading a buggy story as you take a hike.
• Look and learn about lichens on the lower piedmont nature trail.
• Volunteer gardeners will be offering tours of the Monarch Waystation, Carolina Fence and Rain Gardens, while sharing information about creating your own garden.
• York County Beekeepers will be here to share about pollination and the honey bee with some local honey for sale.
• Meet a live piedmont reptile with herpetologist Ken Wagner.
• Butterfly Release at noon (weather permitting)
