• This family-friendly talk is aimed at new (or prospective) telescope users with little knowledge of the night sky. John A. Read, author of Fifty Things to See with a Small Telescope and Fifty Things to See with a Small Telescope – Kids will highlight the must-see objects visible in Carolina Skies.
• If you are too intimidated to use your small telescope or are having difficulties finding interesting objects, this talk is for you. Find out why John’s book is listed as the #1 Bestseller in Star-Gazing by Amazon.com.
• Copies of his book, Fifty Things to See with a Small Telescope, are included with admission ticket. Extra copies of several of his books will be available for purchase and signing.
• Book-signing and dessert reception to follow.
