Telescope Clinic

Event Details

Date: February 24, 2018
Time: 11:30 am—5:30 pm
Location: Museum of York County

Event Description:

• Bring your telescope (of any size) and we’ll show you how to use it! Using a telescope seems simple, but sometimes the view is a little blurry or you want to know what those extra knobs or levers do.

• At this telescope clinic, John A Read (author of Fifty Things to See with a Small Telescope) and members of the Carolina Skygazers amateur astronomy club will provide personalized, individual attention to help you get the most from your telescope. We are happy to discuss accessories or anything else to make observing more enjoyable.

• John Read’s books will be available in the Museum Store for purchase.

Free with Museum Admission ($8 adults, $6 seniors, $5 children, free for CHM members); requires pre-registration at 803.909.7203 or so we can best meet your needs.

Thanks to the Allstate Foundation for their generous support of this program.
